Error: -99 during imaging process on Ghost Console job

Issue/Introduction

Ghost imaging task fail while client is booted to Win PE.  Client jobs fail with "Error: -99 during imaging process" on the console with no feedback as to why the image failed.

On the client for a very short time you might be able to see the following error:

"System error 85 has occurred.
The local device name is already in use.
Deployment share mapped to F:"

Environment

GSS 3.x

Cause

If the system that is being imaged has several partitions, cd/dvd drives, external drives, or memory card readers it is possible that while booting to windows PE to perform the image task that one of these drives is using the default F: drive letter and the Ghost client can't map the F: because it is in use.   

Resolution

The Default mapping of the F drive has been moved to the M drive in windows PE to prevent this from happening in Ghost Solution Suite 3.0 HF 1.   For more information see ​DOC8871
