Message "Failed to validate certificate, The application will not be executed" when launching the Java remote console to connect to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM)

"Failed to validate certificate, The application will not be executed"

Resolution

1. Go in your Control Panel
2. Double-click on the Java applet
3. Go in the Security tab
4. Click on Edit Site List
5. Then on Add...
6. Add https://Name_of_the_SEPM and http://Name_of_the_SEPM as an exception
