Issue/Introduction

Your SQL instance for DCS/CSP has been set to hidden in SQL management console, and now you are unable to login to the manager.

Cause

The SQL instance is hidden which causes the connections to the database from the manager to fail due to the database showing as unavailable, as it is hidden.

Resolution

We do not recommend setting the database to "hidden" within SQL manager.  If you are trying to harden the SQL server you can use the DCS agent and apply a hardened policy specific to your database server environment.
