Issue/Introduction

I have configured the azure probe and when I drill down to my VMs in Admin Console I can only see monitors for Disk, CPU and Network.

The azure probe documentation states that the following monitors are available.

----------

VM - An organizational node that contains nodes for the VM services that are associated with a specific Azure subscription. Click the node for a specific VM to see available monitors. Monitors exist for:

VM

CPU

Disk

Memory

Network

System

Web Service

How can I see these VM monitors in Admin Console?

Environment

UIM 8.51azure 3.11

Resolution

The azure probe will only display monitors that are configured (enabled and with data available) in the Azure environment for the VMs. By default when you create a new VM in Azure only CPU, Disk and Network monitors are enabled.

One way of enabling additional monitors such as Memory is by configuring guest-level monitoring. Once this is enabled, the metrics are published in the Azure portal and the probe has collected the data, you should be able to see it in Admin Console.
