Client inventory is not being processed by GSS after upgrading to RU6.

Client inventory updates are not being reflected in the Ghost Solution Suite (GSS) 3.2 console after upgrading to RU6. 


No error but changes made to the client are not updated in the GSS database and not displayed in the console.   

Some of the inventory items that might be seen as outdated are
Computer name
Domain membership status
Last logged on user
Drive free space
Changes in RAM
Software installed


Ghost Solution Suite 3.2 upgraded to RU6. 


When the installation of RU6 had been applied it may not have been run by right clicking the installer and selecting to "Run as Administrator"  With out elevating the privileges of the installer some items may not be upgraded properly. 


A workaround for updateing the database is available by contacting Symantec technical support and mentioning TECH250187

Symantec Corporation has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned at the end of this article. Symantec is committed to product quality and satisfied customers. 
This issue is currently being considered by Symantec to be addressed in the next major revision of the product.  There are no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time.  Please note that Symantec reserves the right to remove any fix from the targeted release if it does not pass quality assurance tests or introduces new risks to overall code stability.  Symantec’s plans are subject to change and any action taken by you based on the above information or your reliance upon the above information is made at your own risk.
