Issue/Introduction

Error received when providing new license file in GSS 3.0 (both during install and in the console)
  When providing a license during the GSS 3.0 setup the following error is received:
"The License file you specified is not a valid Ghost Solution Suite License .Please select a valid license for this product.

If GSS 3.0 is already installed and you try to register a new License file using Help>Register - the following error is received:
"Failed to install Licenses, Error- The Feature requested does not exist.” 

 

Cause

There is an issue recognizing the format of a client license (note the issue does not occur with server licenses).

Resolution

This issue will be fixed shortly.
 
Workaround:
If GSS 3.0 is already installed do the following:
1. Copy the license file (*.slf) to the Licenses folder (default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Altiris\eXpress\Deployment Server\Licenses)
2. Restart the "Altiris eXpress Server" service
3. Relaunch the console .

If performing a new install, during the installation phase do not specify any license file and allow the product to install with the default trial license.
Once product is fully installed, proceed with the two steps above.
