Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 24 hang after sensitive file attachments uploaded to Outlook Web Access are blocked

Issue/Introduction

When a Block or User Cancel response rule is used, and an endpoint user opts to cancel the pop-up, the tab in which Outlook Web Access (OWA) is running hangs.

This issue only affects OWA 2007.
  If OWA is connected over HTTP, a pop-up message displays "Connection was reset."

If OWA is connected over HTTPS, the same message displays, but the tab hangs.
 

Resolution

Refresh the tab to reconnect to OWA.
