Issue/Introduction

After adding a Detection server to the Enforce User Interface (UI) it shows "Unknown" Detection server shows "Unknown" in the Enforce User Interface (UI).

Cause

This could be caused because port 8100 is currently blocked on the Enforce server. If you perform a netstat -ano inside a Command (CMD) prompt window you will see that the loopback address is using port 8100 on the Enforce server

TCP    127.0.0.1:49853        127.0.0.1:8100         ESTABLISHED     3084

NOTE: You may use netstat -ano > C:\netstat.txt to output the results to a text file.

Resolution

Check and verify Windows Firewall is either disabled or an exception is added for port 8100.

NOTE: Enforce and Detection server services may need to be restarted in order to reestablished communication with the Detection server.
