Symantec Drive Encryption client version 11.0 shows never connected.
Upon investigating the logs, under the communication log the below information is discovered,
"SubmitReport failed with error - Unable to connect to the remote server"
Also when Symantec Endpoint Encryption Services (Web site) is browsed, you the see the following error : The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the ISAPI and CGI Restriction list settings on the Web server.
Error : "The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the ISAPI and CGI Restriction list settings on the Web server."
Error : "SubmitReport failed with error - Unable to connect to the remote server"
Under ISAPI and CGI Restriction the opton "Allow extension path option to execute" is blocked.
1. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager:
2. In the Connections pane, click the server name.
3. In the Home pane, double-click ISAPI and CGI Restrictions.
4. In the Actions pane, click Add...
5. In the Add ISAPI or CGI Restriction dialog box, type the path to the binary you want to add in the ISAPI or CGI path box, type the description of the binary in the Description box, select the Allow extension path option to execute check box to allow the binary to run on the server, and then click OK.
