Issue/Introduction

The $ORIGINAL_BODY variable in a Web Email Protection message template refers to the body of the message that triggered the template. This variable is required rather than optional.

For instance, this variable can be found in templates for:
  • Quota Exceeded for Web Email Protection Recipient (Delivered to Sender)
  • Message Bounced -- Internal Server Error
  • Message Bounced -- No Encryption Key Available
  • Message Bounced -- Message Too Large

In some environments, it would be useful to have the variable $ORIGINAL_BODY changed from required to optional on the message templates within Symantec Encryption Management Server.
