Issue/Introduction

You receive error: "Save failed for Web Server Configuration due to invalid data. Enter valid data."    

 

Resolution

1. Verify the correct IIS roles, features and tools have been enabled. 

Prerequisite Server Roles, Features, and Tools for the Symantec Endpoint Encryption Management Server

2. Launch Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
   - Verify the SEE web site exists under sites.

3. Uninstall the Symantec Endpoint Encryption Management Server and then reinstall it.

If error persists:

1. Uninstall Symantec Endpoint Encryption Management Server
2. Remove IIS roles and features from Windows Server
3. Add required IIS roles and features to Windows Server according to HOWTO101921
4. Reinstall Symantec Endpoint Encryption Management Server.
