In some environments with a large number of domains or whose scanners deliver a large number of messages both inbound and outbound, switching between pages in the domains list and saving changes to the Protocols->Domains page can take a long time.
The database tables used to store domain information are briefly locked during message acceptance and delivery meaning that on busy systems the window during which an update to the domains table can be made is significantly narrowed.
This issue will be addressed in a future release.
In instances where changes take a very long time to save, this may be worked around by stopping the mta process on all scanners prior to saving changes to the list of domains on the Control Center Protocols->Domains page.
