Issue/Introduction

Cannot download Work Hub Agent for Android devices when using self-signed certificate.

Android logcat shows:

W/DownloadManager(29548): Aborting request for download 2429: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: Trust anchor for certification path not found.

Cause

Self-signed certificate is not trusted by the Android device

Resolution

Self-signed certificates are not supported for production environment but if you are doing a POC (proof of concept) and needs to use a self-signed certificate make sure that you will added the Root CA into the android trusted CA store.
