Issue/Introduction

Endusers are able to uninstall Symantec Endpoint Encryption Removable Media Encryption v11 without requiring any credentials for removing it.

Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.  This issue is currently being considered by Symantec Corporation to be addressed in a forthcoming version or Maintenance Pack of the product.  Please be sure to refer back to this document periodically as any changes to the status of the issue will be reflected here.

Applies To

Sensitive data must be encrypted prior to being transferred  to removable storage devices.  Transferring specified data unencrypted to removable storage devices is considered a violation of company security policy.
