Issue/Introduction

Symantec Endpoint Encrypotion v11 does not officially support the Seagate Thin SSHD model number ST500LM000-1EJ162 (hybrid hard drive).

None.  No preboot Authentication during restart and user does not get properly registered with SEE.

Cause

Hybrid hard drives are not yet supported with Symantec Endpoint Endryption Drive Encryption v11.

Resolution

Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.  This issue is currently being considered by Symantec Corporation to be addressed in a forthcoming version or Maintenance Pack of the product.  Please be sure to refer back to this document periodically as any changes to the status of the issue will be reflected here.
