Issue/Introduction

Windows Installer Full Repair task fails due to task timed out (90 min). There is no way in the user interface to change this.

Cause

90 minutes is the default timeout for Software Management Tasks.

Resolution

The timeout value can be changed via the Registry on the Notification Server. Please add the following key: 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Altiris\SoftwareManagementSolution' Value: 'TerminateTaskAfter' (DWORD) Add a value in minutes to increase the timeout.
