Is VMXNET3 supported when reconfiguring virtual network adapter in Symantec Messaging Gateway?

Issue/Introduction

Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG) scanners are running on virtual platform. There is a need to use the VMXNET3 as network adapter in SMG.

Resolution

VMXNET3 is supported since SMG10.6. SMG also supports E1000,VMXNET1 and VMXNET2 adapters.

Please note if there is a need to switch to a different network adapter model, this is currently supported for new installations only.
