Ghost64.exe GUI appears too small on high-resolution 4K monitors

Issue/Introduction

When booting to WinPE on newer hardware and running Ghost64.exe, the GUI is very small to the point it may not be readable.  

Environment

DS 8.x

GSS 3.3.x

WinPE 11

Cause

The Ghost GUI is locked to a default resolution and can't be resized.  Small sized high resolution netbooks and tablets may experience this.   Also higher resolution 4k display systems may also see this behavior.

Ghost GUI resolution is fixed and does not scale with high-DPI display settings.

Resolution

This is working as designed and there is not at this time an ability to resize the Ghost GUI. 

Broadcom Corporation has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned in this article. Broadcom is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.

This issue is currently being considered by Broadcom to be addressed in the next major revision of the product.  There are no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time.  Please note that Broadcom reserves the right to remove any fix from the targeted release if it does not pass quality assurance tests or introduces new risks to overall code stability.  Broadcom’s plans are subject to change and any action taken by you based on the above information or your reliance upon the above information is made at your own risk.
