Issue/Introduction

Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11 supports multiple languages, including English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish.  This includes the actual display UI of the software.

 

Resolution

In the SEE 11 client, Preboot display and keyboard language gets changed to match that of the Operating System.  If the Operating System is in German, the UI and keyboard settings will be in that language, however, only those languages listed above will actually change the display similar to the following example screenshots:

Note: If the Preboot screen does not detect the Windows OS language by default, press F2 and select the language from the given option.

If there are further issues, ensure the regional settings for the language have been set.
