Issue/Introduction

Symantec Endpoint Encryption Full Disk Access Utility is not available Symantec Endpoint Encryption v11.

None.  Feature Request.

Cause

Symantec has not included the SEE Access utility in Symantec Endpoint Encryption v11.

Resolution

Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers.  This issue is currently being considered by Symantec Corporation to be addressed in a forthcoming version or Maintenance Pack of the product.  Please be sure to refer back to this document periodically as any changes to the status of the issue will be reflected here.

Applies To

Symantec Endpoint Encryption v11.  If the SEE Access Utility was available in SEE v11, then the entire hard drive would not need to be decrypted in order to recover a few important files.  Instead, an administrator can use the SEE Access Utility to to recover the file(s) they need and re-image the hard drive.  This would save hours of time.
