Issue/Introduction

When trying to send an Encrypted or Clear Text Email generates the following Error

"Microsoft Outlook cannot sign or Encrypt this message because there are no certificates which can be used to send from the email address. Either get a new digital ID to use with this account, or use the Accounts button to send the message using an account that you have certificates for".
 

Resolution

Use the following steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2013.
     
  2. Click File > Options.
     
  3. Select Outlook Options click on Trust Center > Trust Centrex Settings.
     
  4. Under Email Security, uncheck the following options:

    • Encrypt contents and attachments for Outgoing messages
    • Add Digital signature to outgoing messages
