There was an issue with Symantec Encryption Desktop version 10.3.2 MP6 and previous and Mac OSX 10.10.1 or Mac OS X 10.10.2 where, after you install and reboot Encryption Desktop, the Macintosh system cannot be encrypted as no disk will be listed when initiating the disk encryption wizard.
This issue was resolved with the release of Symantec Encryption Desktop 10.3.2 MP7. This version of Symantec Encryption Desktop is now compatible with OS X 10.10.1.
If Symantec Encryption Desktop 10.3.2 MP6 was installed on Mac OS X 10.10.1, or 10.10.2, be sure to first uninstall Symantec Encryption Desktop 10.3.2 MP6 before installing Symantec Encryption Desktop 10.3.2 MP7. Once Symantec Encryption Desktop 10.3.2 MP7 is installed, two reboots may be required for the installation to be completed.
Be sure to review the release notes included with the maintenance pack for important information, such as the continued incompatibility with CoreStorage that was identified with the release of MP6. Note: For information on how to disable CoreStorage, see article HOWTO109622.
