What's the impact to start CA Workload Automation ESP system with parm=PURGE?
The tracking data for mainframe jobs and datasets that are collected and stored on ZOS system memory (TCELL and DSTRIG CELL) when ESP is down, can be lost.
When ESP is started, it will automatically check with JES for current job status, so the job status can then be updated to current.
However if you have STEP level monitor setup, then there is no data to be processed. And DSTRIG activity for the ESP downtime won't be available either.
