ESP Workload Automation

Issue/Introduction

What's the impact of starting ESP Workload Automation system with parm=PURGE?

Environment

Component: ESP Workload Automation
Release: ALL

Resolution

The tracking data for mainframe jobs and datasets that are collected and stored on ZOS system memory (TCELL and DSTRIG CELL) when ESP is down, and can be lost if it's out of space.

When ESP is started, it will automatically check with JES for the current job status, so the job status can then be updated to current.

However if you have STEP level monitor setup, then there is no data to be processed. And DSTRIG activity for the ESP downtime won't be available either.
