Problems generating Web Security.cloud reports

Issue/Introduction

You are using Internet Explorer version 7 or 8 and are experiencing problems with Web Security.cloud reports in the portal disappearing or not appearing at all.

Resolution

Upgrading to a newer version of Internet Explorer will resolve the issue.  If this is not possible, check that the following settings are implemented in Internet Explorer.

To enable automatic prompting for downloads for trusted sites
  1. In Internet Explorer, navigate to Tools > Internet Options. The Internet Options window opens.
  2. Open the Security tab, and in the Trusted Sites zone click on Custom Level. The Security Settings window opens.
  3. Scroll down to the Downloads section, and enable Automatic prompting for file downloads.
To ensure that the portal site is listed as a trusted site
  1. In Internet Explorer, navigate to Tools > Internet Options. The Internet Options window opens.
  2. Open the Security tab, and in the Trusted Sites zone click on the Sites button. The Trusted sites window opens.
  3. Check that the portal URL is listed in the Websites box.
  4. If the portal URL is not already in the Websites list, type the portal address in the Add this website to the zone box and click Add.
To ensure that you can  save encrypted pages to disk
  1. In Internet Explorer, navigate to Tools > Internet Options. The Internet Options window opens.
  2. Open the Advanced tab, and scroll down to the Security section.
  3. Ensure that the Do no save encrypted pages to disk option is unchecked.
