Issue/Introduction

You want information on the User Roles required for the LDAP Synchronization Tool (Schemus) to upload data to the Email Security.cloud portal.

Resolution

The following user roles need to be granted to a Service Account to allow the upload to work successfully. It is recommended that the user account used for Schemus only has these roles assigned:

• Edit configuration -> LDAP User Groups
• Edit configuration -> Mail Platform
• View configuration -> LDAP User Groups
• View configuration -> Mail Platform

Important Considerations:

• Service Account usage: It is recommended to use these roles for an account dedicated exclusively to Schemus.
• Password Expiration: To ensure the password never expires, never log into the web portal with this account. Only use these credentials within the Schemus configuration.
