Issue/Introduction

This article discusses compatibility of the Client Site Proxy with various Windows Operating System scenarios.

Resolution

The Client Site Proxy (CSP) for Web Security.cloud works in environments where the domain controller is running on a separate system on Win2K8 and Win2K3. Test results show that the CSP works on Win2K3 irrespective of the PC Client OS . The same applies when the domain controller runs on Win2K3 or Win2K8 as long as the CSP is on a supported OS, i.e. Win2K3 and not Win2K8 or Vista.

The table below shows the compatibility between the CSP OS and different PC Clients OS (on the left) in both Win2K8 and Win2K3 environments.
The green color indicates the three-way compatibility (PC Client, CSP and Domain Controller operating systems), whilst the red color shows the operating systems combinations that either haven’t passed the test or present some issues.
