Issue/Introduction

Upgrading pcAnywhere Solution to 12.6.8 removes remote capabilities from client

Cause

pcAnywhere Solution 12.6.8 uses the pcA plugin Host Only as the default plugin. Upon installing/Upgrading pcAnywhere Solution from a previous version to 12.6.8, the Host Only install and Upgrade policies are enabled by default. The Upgrade policy will remove previous full plugins and install the the Host Only version.

Resolution

Disable pcA plugin host only install and upgrade policy. Uninstall using the pcA plugin uninstall policy. Enable the full pcA plugin install policy to deploy the remote capable pcA plugin.
