MDM Enrollment Profile Fails To Install

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to enroll iOS devices into Symantec Mobile Management, the MDM Enrollment profile fails to install. 

The device indicates that the profile failed to install.

Failed Request Trace logs in IIS on the Mobile Management server display an HTTP 500.21 error.

"MDM Handler" has a bad module "ManagedPipelineHandler".

Cause

As issue with components in Altiris ITMS and Symantec Mobile Management prevent the iOS MDM web service from functioning correctly when the MMS package is deployed to the same server.  This issue does not occur when Symantec Mobile Management, the Mobile Management server, is deployed with the basic Symantec Management Platform (SMP).

Resolution

Symantec recommends deploying the Mobile Management server to another VM or physical server to workaround this problem.
