Fatal error when running an installation that contains SQLBase.MSM

Issue/Introduction

I recieve a fatal error while deploying an MSI.

Cause

Custom action from the SQLBase.MSM is causing the fatal error. It is called SetServerRegKeyPrivileges.2D02443E_7002_4C0B_ABC9_EAB2C064397B.

Resolution

Preinstall the MSDE or SQL Server Setup.exe instead of using the merge modules. You may also want to consider removing the SQL Base.MSM from the package, if possible.
