Issue/Introduction

SMG message audit log shows blank subject for some messages. When hovering the mouse over the subject, tool tip pops up showing the correct subject.

The subject can be properly displayed in the message audit log detail page.

Cause

Some special XML characters in subject string such as (<), (&), (>), ("), and (') are currently not allowed.

Resolution

Symantec is aware of this issue and will update this document when a solution becomes available. It is not necessary to log a support case on this issue. Please subscribe to this article to be notified of any updates.
