Issue/Introduction

Microsft Windows Solutions such as Visio are not correctly represented in Application Metering. This workaround allow you to collect a custom inventory for all Microsoft Office solutions and populate a custom dataclass with the results.

Solutions such as Visio is metered as a whole product and no versions are broken out such as Standard and Professional.

Environment

ITMS 8.x

Cause

Microsoft installation of the files, registry keys, and license keys are not unique and application metering can not detect the specific versions of solution such as Visio.

Resolution

This solution allows you to collect and populate a custom dataclass using ROISCAN.VBS provided by Microsoft and a custom inventory to read the ROISCAN.log file.
