Issue/Introduction

An issue occurs when an antivirus application scans a removable media device containing files that were encrypted using Symantec Endpoint Encryption Removable Media Encryption.

If the files were encrypted with a password or certificate other than the current default password or default certificate, you are prompted to enter the password or provide the certificate to decrypt the files.

Resolution

Symantec Corporation is committed to product quality and satisfied customers. This issue is currently being considered by Symantec Corporation to be addressed in a forthcoming version or Maintenance Pack of the product.
