Issue/Introduction

Symantec Endpoint Encryption v 11.x retains many of the policies from earlier product versions. However, some policies now appear in a different module or have modified options. This article identifies the policy differences between Symantec Endpoint Encryption v 8.2.1 and v 11.0.0, v 11.0.1, and v 11.1.0. All MPs are included in the comparisons as well.

Resolution

In Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11.x, the names of the modules that contain the policies have changed as follows:

In Symantec Endpoint Encryption 11.x, the v 8.2.1 policies have often changed their names, module locations, and functionality. The following three tables list the v 8.2.1 policies with their v 11.x equivalents. The functional changes are listed incrementally by v 11.x versions. The tables are:
