What features will be offered in Symantec Mobility: Suite 5.0, the update to Symantec App Center 4.x?

Resolution

Symantec will be releasing a new version of App Center, called Symantec™ Mobility: Suite 5.0. This new version provides a new modular platform for Symantec mobility solutions that leverages the MDM, MAM and Threat Protection technologies of Symantec’s App Center and Norton Mobile Security products. The new features in this update include:

• MDM – Address SAFE and Windows Phone 8.1 with basic MDM capabilities
• Mobile Security – Standalone product support, scalability, and defect fixes
• Platform/Server – Performance/scalability, multi-tenancy and selected UI improvements
• Platform/Application Center App (ACA) – New app UI with improved usability and performance
• MAM – App configuration settings and App Management Command APIs
• Proxy – Performance/scalability improvement and defect fixes
• Productivity Apps – Defect fixing and performance/scalability improvement
