Resolution

The VMware Configuration Guide provides information about VMware configurations. It presents the updated organization of VMware Standards in CCS Manager and also describes steps to follow for getting correct data collection results in case of CCS 10.5.1 upgrade. Moreover, the guide explains the following configuration procedures:

• Importing VMware vCenter assets using CSV and ODBC
• Importing ESXi machines using Network, CSV, and ODBC
• Configuring Windows Machine (vCenter Server)
• Configuring credentials for Windows (vCenter Server)
• Configuring routing rules for VMware data collection
  

The initial section of the document contains diagrammatic presentation of procedural steps for VMware vCenter and ESXi asset import. The later sections of the document contain detailed procedures involved in VMware vCenter and ESXi asset import.
