Question

What is the best method of resetting the task server agent remotely?

Resolution

Follow below steps to remotely reset the Task Server Agent on client machines.

1. Go to the Jobs and Tasks portal.
2. Create a new task.
3. Select the Reset Task Agent task type.
4. Click OK.
5. Schedule that task against the target clients you want to reset.

Note: The client may require a policy update and you may have to reset the altiris agent to help the client update the task policies quicker.  See KB: HOWTO5511.
