Issue/Introduction

Cannot import an Organizational Unit in SEPM -> Clients -> Groups however a Directory Server in "Server Properties" has been added properly proving that the password entered is correct.

Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager could not connect to the target directory server.
Check the directory server configuration, and try again.

 ImportADSI-0.log in FINEST debugging shows the following exception while importing:

2014-06-18 10:30:35.877 THREAD 128 SEVERE: LdapUtils>> lookupDn: Exception occurs while searching... Message: [LDAP: error code 10 - 0000202B: RefErr: DSID-0310063C, data 0, 1 access points ref 1: 'LIAE.LISI'

Cause

That error is related to Active Directory referrals (more on referrals here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc978014.aspx)

Resolution

Symantec does not support Active Directory Synchronization and LDAP Synchronization with Active Directory Referrals at this time.
