Unable to edit Asset while accessing the console on remote computer

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to 7.5 SP1, when right clicking a computer and clicking "Edit" the popup window shows some errors like: 

"Data class 'Manufacturer' contains invalid data. Instance is read-only" 
"Data class 'Comment' contains invalid data. Instance is read-only" 
"Data class 'Asset Warranty' contains invalid data. Instance is read-only" 
"Data class 'Serial Number' contains invalid data. Instance is read-only" 
(see attached screenshot) 

this happens on various version of Internet Explorer. Have tried v.8, 10 and 11. Same error. 

Steps tried

1. Delete the vsflex8 add-ons to let them install again, but still the same error. 

 

2. Clean the IE cache, add the url to trusted site, changing the zone settings.

Cause

Forced group policy on the client operating system.

Resolution

When a new machine was added to domain without applying any user group policy, we were able to edit the asset.Below entry was found in the registry.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\International AcceptLanguage = en-US

If we delete this key, the asset editing works. Compare regional language settings and internet options language settings from notification server and client machine.

If identical or made identical issue will not appear.
