What are the parameters for the msi install for Endpoint Agents and what do they mean?

Resolution

msiexec.exe /i "C:\Install\AgentInstall.msi" – MSI file to be run

 

/q – Quiet install, no popup

INSTALLDIR="C:\Program Files\Vontu\Endpoint Agent\" – Directory where Endpoint will be installed.

 

ENDPOINTSERVER="Endpoint1.mycompany.com" – Endpoint Server that the agent will communicate with.

 

PORT="8000" – Port for communication to Endpoint Server

 

 NOSMC="1" – Do not use Symantec Management Platform

SMC="" – If you are using SMC, this is the host.

KEY="" – Encryption Key if not default

SERVICENAME="EDPA" – Service name for the Endpoint Agent

 WATCHDOGNAME="WDP" - Service name for the Watchdog process

ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT="1" Add and Remove Programs – will this show up?  1 = No ""=Yes
