Installation will fail if account names, passwords, directory names, or other installation parameters are specified using characters other than standard 7-bit ASCII.

Use only standard, 7-bit ASCII characters to enter installation parameters during the installation process.  Extended (hi-ASCII) and double byte characters cannot be used for account or user names, passwords, directory names, IP addresses, or port numbers. Installation may fail if you use characters other than standard 7-bit ASCII.

Note also that installation directories cannot contain any spaces in the full path name. For example, on a Windows platform, c:\Program Files\Vontu is not a valid installation folder because there is a space between "Program" and "Files."
