Changing the Endevor environment mapping caused an IMGR003E.

Issue/Introduction

I have changed the C1DEFLTS mapping for an environment to now go to a common environment: ENV1 stage P to ENV2 stage P.  

When trying to move one of the element I now get the following error: IMGR003E - TO LOCATION CEND/P IS INVALID FROM ENV1/P

What do i need to do to fix this problem?

Resolution

There are a couple of reasons that could cause the error:

• the element was part of a generate copyback
• the use of generate with a nosource option

Delete the element in the From location - ENV1 stage P, and add it back into the same environment / system / subsystem / type allowed to move to the new mapping location.

It is recommended that if you change the mapping in an environment the best thing to do would be to empty the environment (migration, delete, archive or a retrieve/delete) prior to changing the mapping.
