Issue/Introduction

Where are DLP .slf license files located and how they are used?

Resolution

1. In a default installation, DLP .slf license files are stored in the folder: C:\ProgramData\Symantec\DataLossPrevention\EnforceServer\<version>\license for Windows based Enforce and /var/Symantec/DataLossPrevention/EnforceServer/<version>/license for Linux based Enforce.
2. On startup, all .slf files in that directory are read and the cumulation of all their entitlements is applied.
3. This means that as you receive new/updated license files, you can copy them into the ..\license directory, restart Enforce, and the product will implement the functionality.
4. To remove a previous entitlement, remove the corresponding .slf file.
