How to configure Common Exits on a vApp-based Provisioning Server - Identity Suite

Issue/Introduction

This article describes the procedure for deploying custom Program Exits (shared libraries) on an Identity Suite Virtual Appliance-based Provisioning Server. It outlines how to implement library files (.so) in Linux environments.

Cause

On vApp/Linux-based Provisioning Servers, the Provisioning Server service requires shared libraries to be located within the path defined by the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable to ensure accessibility at runtime.

Resolution

1. Log in to the Provisioning Server appliance.
2. Switch to the Provisioning Server service account (imps).
3. Place or create the required library files (.so) in the following directory: /opt/CA/IdentityManager/ProvisioningServer/lib
4. Verify the library is accessible; this directory is included by default in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH configuration.
