Error 1069: "The service did not start due to a logon failure' is displayed and no logs are written" in DLP

When trying to start the Symantec DLP services, the following error is displayed:


"An error 1069 - The service did not start due to a logon failure"


Check with your System Administrators as there could have been a reset of the Local Policy on the System which could cause an issue. 

Check the login-as-a-service rights as they may have been removed from protect and protect_update accounts. 

Then manually re-enter the credentials under the Properties of the services for those accounts for each service and start the services.




The Vontu Monitor service doesn't start with error "Failed to load JVM"


Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely manner
