I have and Endpoint Prevent incident that came from a Printer/Fax Protocol. The incident details say that the Printer Type is Remote. What does that mean?
The printer type "remote" means network printer. The printer type corresponds to the option chosen when installing the printer from Windows control panel. In Windows XP, the options are "Local printer attached to this computer" and "A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer". The first one displays "Local" as the printer type and the later one as "Remote".
