Issue/Introduction
You need to change the source IP address of outbound connections passing through SMTP Prevent, such as for use with a load balancer which takes different actions based on the source address.
Resolution
Symantec DLP Network Prevent for Mail (SMTP) is not a gateway or router in the networking sense; it is not capable of performing network address translation (NAT) or preserving the original source IP of connections that pass through it. For outbound connections, the source IP will always be the actual address of the SMTP Prevent server.
