Error 8004060 may indicate a corrupt .PST file.
Please run Scanpst.exe file to repair the PST file as described.
In addition, in general when encountering "Failed to configure msg service.:XXXXXXXXX", the cause might be:
- The file may be password protected. This error should be indicated in the scan detail page "error report". The only workaround is to remove the password protection.
- The file may be corrupted.
- Multiple profiles with the name "VontuPstExtractor" exist. This can happen if an older version of Outlook was replaced (re-installed or upgraded) on the Detection Server. Delete both the profiles.
- If the location of the pstlocalcopyfolder in crawler.properties is a relative path. Make the location an absolute path.
The first step in diagnosing this problem is to copy the file to local disk and open it in Outlook. If it fails to open then the issue is with the pst file itself.
