Symantec Help does not restart after it has rebooted the computer.
To manually restart Symantec Help, follow one of the following methods:
Use Task Scheduler
- Open the Task Scheduler
- Look for a task in the task scheduler root folder named “Symantec Help (relaunch)”
- Manually start the task
Use the command line
- Open the temp folder (%temp%)
- Locate both the most recent .SdDb file and the most recent folder that begins with “STSFX”
- Open a command prompt and type the following:
Note: Replace “STSFXnnnn” with the actual folder name.
SymDiag.exe -relaunch ""
Note: The SymDiag.exe command does not accept environment variables in the SdDb path)
