Symantec Network Access Control (SNAC) LAN and Gateway Enforcer appliances come with SSH (OpenSSH) enabled for remote access. Can this service be disabled?



From the Enforcer appliance command line interface (CLI), the following commands will turn off the SSH service, and prevent it from starting automatically when the device boots.

  • console ssh stop
  • console ssh off

To verify the current status use the command:

  • console show
