A Maintenance Pack is required to deliver the enhancements and fixes for Control Compliance Suite version 11.0.

Release Highlights:
The Product Update (PU) 2013-3 delivers the following new capabilities and enhancements to Control Compliance Suite 11.0:
New – Agents
  • CCS Administrator can now delete agents using the WebAPI: DeleteAssetsAndAgents. The API deletes the specified assets and agents corresponding agents based on the input parameters.  This API belongs to the IAssetService.
  • CCS Administrator can now delete agents using PowerShell snap-in: Remove-AssetsAndAgents. The Remove-AssetsAndAgents cmdlet removes the specified assets and thecorresponding agents from the asset system. The cmdlet also deletes associated asset data either from the SQL store or from the CCS directory.
  • Now, when a job fails or stops responding then the job exits cleanly and removes all the residual files from the agent. PU 2013-3 update needs to installed on the Agent.
New - Domain Cache
  • You can now specify the domain’s Fully Qualified Domain Name while providing credentials for Domain Cache. Providing the FQDN enables the domain user, which has only read-only rights on the Domain Controller, to build a domain cache.
New – Logging
  • The CCS Diagnostic Suite utility lets you gather log files from various computers where the CCS components are installed and stores the logs in a specific location. You can use the logs to gather information regarding various backend processes as well as system-specific data for the CCS computers.  The CCS Diagnostic utility is installed along with the PU 2013-3 build on the computer where the CCS Console is installed.
To locate the CCS Diagnostic utility:
  1. Launch the Task Manager.  Ensure that the CCS Console is running before launching the Task Manager.
  2. In the Processes tab locate the CCS Console process. The process name begins with SymConsole.exe.
  3. Right-click the process and select Open File Location from the RMB menu.
  4. In the folder navigate to Applications -> tools -> CCSDiag.
  5. In CCSDiag, locate and execute Symantec.CCSDiagnosticSuite.UI.exe to launch the CCS Diagnostic utility.
Enhanced - External Data Integration
  • The Web Service connector can now import new data from a EDI source. A new parameter CCS_MaxEvaluationDate is added in the parameterXML for GetDataPage API. This parameter contains the latest evaluation date up to the last successful import of records. The web service connector can filter out the data that has the evaluation date that is prior to the CCS_MaxEvaluationDate value. Hence, only the most recent data is imported in CCS.
Enhanced - Data Collection
  • You can now track the data collection status in real-time for the data collection and Collection-Evaluation-Reporting jobs. A new status In Progress is added that displays the assets for which the data is currently being collected.
Enhanced - Disaster Recovery
  • You can now export and save configurations stored in the General settings tab of CCS Console, to a specified location. In case of system failure you can import and restore the saved configurations as part of disaster recovery. You can also export the product configuration setting “Authentication Type”, that is found outside of General Settings.
